I have an Acer laptop with Windows Vista. I like watching streaming videos on the internet so I can watch my favorite TV shows, and playing DVDs on my computer, but there’s a terrible lag between the audio and the video. The audio plays just fine, but the video is always a second or more behind from the audio and is somewhat skippy. What can I do to fix this?
There could be a variety of reasons your video is not keeping up with your audio.
Does the problem happen when you are watching DVD’s on your computer as well as video over the net? If the answer is yes (e.g. both) the problem might be internal settings on your computer- check the Control Panel to ensure your Video resolution and playback speeds aren’t a factor.
If it’s just the net videos that are a problem, then it’s most likely a bandwidth issue. See if "plugging in" via Ethernet makes a difference (vs. going over Wireless).
If you still have problems, repost and we’ll go from there.
Good luck!
