So easy, i have done the same thing, i have used RZ Video Converter, it can convert or cut video, define the start point(Start Time) and end point(End Time) of the source video files, only the part during the start and end point will be converted. You can choose your most favorite part in video files through setting the start point and end point.
You can download it from here:
http://www.rzfun.com
Following is a step by step guide:
http://www.rzvideoconverter.com/rzvideoconverter/videoconverteruserguide.html

Please note, the RZ Video Converter trial version will add watermark on the target video, but if only convert audios, it is free without any limit.

Hope it can help you.
References :
if you have final cut pro then it is easy and the quality will not be compromised if you keep the time signatures in tact.

apple+i at the start of the cut and apple+o at the end .. hit delete.
