It’s the sleazy dancing ladies that made me remember this video after nearly three decades & made me come back here to see it again. Their sleaziness reaches a level so extreme that I have yet to encounter it in real life. I think they’re a brilliant touch & vital to the video. I also think you see it as pointless because it was done that way deliberately by the director – they are meant to seem disconnected and almost exploitative – a touch of humor. The song stands on its own as a masterpiece.
