I can’t agree with … I can’t agree with you more! This was one of these not so good compositions until I heard this version. Totally blew out my mind! I just realized why horowitz was so precise about the piano he was playing. This piece can’t be played like this without that piano.

Horowitz creates … Horowitz creates feeling where it is not expected, yes he does create some tension occassionally trying to create his art, but it is the mastery of effort and purpose (and his ezperience) that turn meaningful waiting music.
horowitz is … horowitz is definitely not flawless note wise but I think interpretation wise he’s really about as good as it gets. I’m studying this piece for a recital and this performance made me think of it in an entirely new way like I was hearing it for the 1st time. Thanx for posting this

I think that the reason that he plays it the way he is is because he is exploring it, expressing a part of it that is not heard often, and not because his fingers are old
