What program should i use to mix short video clips?
I need a program for mac (preferably free and nothing fancy) that will allow me to mix short video clips from youtube or anywhere else together to make a sort of music video. Im just going to place a song over the video. any suggestions?
in windows xp, there is a program called windows movie maker. first convert flv videos from youtube to avi format or mpg. then import it to movie maker. you can drag and drop video files in the timeline. You can split videos and add pictures within videos. you can add transitions too.
if you need a converter, search google for free converter. for me, super video converter is the best among all free video converter.

Doesn’t Mac have a program called iMovie or something? It’s the equivalent of Windows Movie Maker. Unfortunately I can’t tell you the location of the file because I haven’t used a Mac since the Macintosh II came out.
As for getting videos off of YouTube, there are free web converters online, but I can’t vouch for how reliable they are.

You should make video avi format for youtube.
You can try the DVD Video Converter Suite for Mac, it can help Mac OS X users not only rip DVD to AVI, MP4, MPEG, MOV, but also finish conversions among all common video format like convert AVI to MP4, convert MPEG to AVI, etc. With the DVD Converter Suite for Mac, you can easily put your favorite DVD and video on iPhone, iPod, PSP, Zune, Apple TV, YouTube, etc.
