actually i believe … actually i believe tony got his plate metal’s titanium alloy from the same source as captain America’s shield blue prints, but its not the same metal, Tony’s armor is actually from an earlier design of the shields metal construct before captain America’s shield was completed….so Tony’s plate armor is actually weaker than captain America’s shield….go figure ^_^
