Hemorrhoid Causes

Hemorrhoids are caused by excessive stress on the rectal veins. This stress can be caused by pregnancy, frequently heavy lifting, obesity or constipation.

One of the most common hemorrhoid causes is chronic constipation.

Constipation frequently leads to hemorrhoids because incomplete elimination causes you to strain on the stool. When you strain, you put unnecessary pressure on the rectal muscles. This pressure creates causes inflammation in the veins of the rectum. The result is hemorrhoids.

Constipation happens to everyone. Our hectic lives don’t always allow us to cook healthy meals so we eat convenience foods like, pizza, bagels and other low fiber foods that the body has a hard time breaking down. These foods sit undigested in your colon longer than they should.

Hard stools lead to the straining that causes hemorrhoids. This is one of the most frequent hemorrhoid causes.
